I like to have several projects going at the same time so if I hit a wall on one project, I have another to fall back on. Right now I have 3 novels in various stages of completion and I’m always working on short psychological horror stories for various podcasts that get produced and recorded with different voice talents.  I’ve written for Chilling Tales for Dark Nights for several years now. Horror Hill with Eric Peabody, Fear from the Heartland with Paul J McSorley, Otis Jiry with Scary Stories Told in the Dark and my latest with Felipe Ojeda with The Ghost of 94. I have a link below to listen to this full production that is about 56 minutes long. All of these podcasts can be searched on Youtube and other places like Spotify that carry podcasts.

Give Room 3 a listen!

I’m constantly working on about three or four projects at once. This way I can bounce back and forth if I hit a stall on one story I have others to work on. At the moment I have three novels and am constantly working on short psychological/horror stories for several different podcasts. Below is the link for the latest podcast story for The Ghost of 94 from Felipe Ojeda.

ROOM 3

If you enjoyed this story or like horror stories with a twist into the psychological side of scary or macabre, look up Fear from the Heartland on Youtube and dig through those productions. I have around 40 on there and Chilling Tales for Dark Nights and will be adding to the list. Now to give you a peek into what is coming up the pike as far as novels.

The Fourth Dimension Machiavelli is a timely story about an ordinary man struggling with what his world is bringing. Things are tugging at him from all directions, hinting that he should participate  in whatever capacity he can in, but it also feels wrong. Rejection to the thoughts and moving as far from where he grew up is what he sees as the answer. Outrun the calling he feels inside. Distance himself from the surroundings he’s familiar with will certainly help him with the nightmares he suffers.

This is a story of a tortured soul that for a moment makes his world right. But it doesn’t last. Professional help only adds to his confusion.

This is a twisted tale of a man fighting the puppet that is brainwashing him from the inside out to do something he feels is right, but knows it’s not right.

This  novel will hopefully find itself available by the middle of 2025. Stay tuned for updates!

Facing My Demons is the second book of a trilogy of short stories. It is book two following in the same realm of Behind the Facade which was released at the end of 2024. Breaking Through the Facade is will be the third book of the trilogy and will hopefully be available by the  third quarter of 2025.

These are collections of stories I’ve written during the last three to four years and I believe I’ve hit some interesting thoughts and observations as far as from “inside the human brain.”

Defying Ethan’s Law is a continuation of The Mason Jar Series. While my thoughts were that book six The Call Home would be the final telling of Billy Jay Cader and Apalachicola, Florida, I realized I left one major character that was actually a far more evil man than Billy Jay was. Ethan Kendrick, the town’s richest and most powerful person in town, also a defense attorney that ended several of his own hidden skeletons in far more sinister ways than the courtroom. This picks up where The Call Home left off and attempts to tell the story of Ethan and a few other side characters who grew into more major roles. Amy Lee Whitenhour, the investigative reporter, Cable Lee Johnson, her newly rejuvenated relationship, and of course Darrell Cader, the boy who thought Billy Jay was his father but wasn’t. Anyway, this novel should either tie up any loose ends or morph into a sister series! I do miss telling that dysfunctional dark tale of the quirky little town of Apalachicola during the 80’s.

Totality. This is an immersive story into the head of a young man named Morgan. He is an odd little man according to one of Simone’s best friends. Simone and three of her girlfriends are taking a trip to watch and experience Totality 2024. Her friend whose birthday was on the last total solar eclipse thirty years ago swears it will be the experience of a lifetime. She couldn’t be more right. Morgan is invited to come along and hang with them. Morgan has a secret that he isn’t even aware of and all four are about to find out just what that bizarre dichotomy really is and it isn’t exactly good.

And finally, Crossroads, a softer story from e.m. pope. A love story that is born from a tragedy that came early in the protagonist’s life but took years of living in pain to discover. Shattered dreams, deception, hurt, discovery, rejection, and possibly redemption and forgiveness. Sometimes an expected outcome is the farthest thing from a reality given through second chance.
